SCADA
Real-time monitoring and control is what renovo™ was built to do first, and it does it at any size: the same platform behind a transmission network with millions of points runs a small distribution or pipeline system of a few hundred just as well.
That single-platform reach is the point. Substations, generation, distribution and transmission all run on one core technology, so an operation consolidates onto a single SCADA platform instead of stitching together tiers, and carries the same depth of operational capability everywhere, rather than accepting less from a lighter-weight tool at the edges. As sizing and requirements change, the platform grows with them; the investment doesn’t age out from under you.
SCADA components include:
novoSCADA™
The core acquisition and control suite, covering alarming, device tagging and supervisory control.
novoCOM™
The communications front-end processor, talking directly to RTUs and IEDs across DNP and a wide range of modern and legacy protocols.
novoICCP™
Inter-control center communications on the current TASE.2 standard, deployable inside renovo or standalone to bridge a legacy SCADA system.
novoHIST™
Time Series Historian for recording the field telemetry and distribution operation’s real-time, calculated and manually entered data for subsequent trending, analysis, or playing back events for disturbance analysis.
novoVision™
Browser-based UI, with one-line and tabular displays, live and historical trends, geospatial mapping, alarm views, and a secure light client for casual users.
novoCALC™
The calculation and scripting environment, from simple expression-based point logic to sophisticated custom applications.
novoStudio™
The single environment for building and maintaining both displays and the database, with templates, bulk edits, and a job-based change workflow.
novoAPI™
Enterprise integration module supporting a range of open APIs for integration of GIS, CIS, AMI, IVR, WMS, and other systems, including receiving and processing periodic model and network map updates from the GIS.
novoFlow™
Flow-based automation that orchestrates recurring and on-demand processes across the suites.
